Oh hey! Happy Friday!
Not much has changed around here although I seem to continue to pop more and more.
Overall, I am feeling pretty good!
Pregnancy Brain- it’s here. From forgetting words like “end table” and “night stand” to making a simple explanation for something extremely complex–complete with ummms and ahhhhs–it’s in full effect.
Me: “I really like the song that comes after #7 on The Lumineers’ CD!”
Pa: ” You mean number 8?”
I still chuckle about that one.
Another example? I thought my ultrasound appointment was yesterday morning. It’s actually next Friday. I am glad that I didn’t accidentally drive there yesterday.
Congestion- still enjoying it, although it hasn’t been as bad as it was last week. I routinely wake up at 2 AM to an itchy, runny nose. I proceed to stuff it with tissues, lay on my back, and eventually go back to sleep. No late night/early morning reading this week!
Yes, I am still occasionally sleeping on my back for part of the night. I didn’t do this intentionally with Lula but for now, I don’t think it’s harmful. I am planning on asking my doctor about it at next week’s appointment.
Fatigue- hasn’t been too bad this week. I think the spinach smoothies are helping keep me energized in the morning.
Leg Pains- not a concern, just occasional shooting pains up my thighs when I am walking. Like the sounds in my ears I wrote about last week, it seems like another made up symptom.
Exercise- I am still able to run! Saturday- 6 miles, Sunday- 5 miles, Tuesday- 3.8 miles, Wednesday, a mile walk outdoors, Thursday- 3.8 miles. Yesterday’s treadmill run was a little tough so I bumped my speed down to 6.5 MPH. There is a part of me that is looking forward to the point in my pregnancy that I scale back to strictly walking.
Cravings- I found Bottle Caps! There should really be boxes that are solely the Coke and root beer flavors. Those are the best. I also found a $2 can of cashews at Wal-Mart and they have been so good!I have also been craving pancakes and waffles. This morning, I made some of Diana’s banana and egg pancakes for me and Lula.We both wolfed them down–so yummy–thanks for the recipe, Diana!
Have a fabulous weekend!
