I am feeling grateful lately. Grateful that Lula has taken a break from waking up multiple times overnight. Grateful that I am finding ways to deal with her ever-growing need to be by my side constantly. Grateful that the sun has been (mostly) shining and that our weather was in the 40s and 50s for most of last week.Grateful that this enables me to take Miss Lula outdoors to exercise.
And I am especially grateful that my neighborhood has a park, which is very close to my house.
She got so dirty every time we were there and at first, I was kind of hung up on it…how long was it going to take me to clean her up, what if she puts dirt in her mouth (she did), etc.But as I am sure I will do for the rest of my life, I had to remind myself that this wasn’t about me and my concerns. It was about my daughter exploring her world and having fun! Who cares if she eats some dirt or if there is caked mud under her fingernails for a day or two compared to the joy she gets out of being outdoors and feeling some freedom?Once I let go of my concerns, it was off to the races! She had a wonderful time and we are planning on heading back as soon as it gets warmer!
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
