Good morning and happy Friday!
I hope the week was good and wow, it flew by around here.
Pa texted yesterday afternoon to let me know he would be late getting home from work so I entertained Lula with multiple rounds of “horsey” on my knees while we waited for the wonderful sound of the garage door opening.
Once inside, he said, “I come bearing gifts!” In his hands was a bag from the GAP. I knew what was in there immediately…my maternity jeggings!
I was so excited…he read my blog post from Wednesday and decided he needed to get them for me, thus his late arrival home.
I LOVE them. They are comfortable, they make me feel really good, and the dark color is very flattering.
Please excuse Lula’s mess on the floor- and don’t mind her trying to crawl over the cat.
I would highly recommend these denim leggings from the GAP. And like my buddy Joanna wrote:
As I told my husband multiple times, this purchase and his thoughtfulness made my week. I couldn’t stop smiling last night and I woke up excited this morning to put these babies on. I told him I am going to wear them every day!
As a side note, I am 5’9″ and I am wearing the long/tall option that GAP offers, in case anyone was thinking of purchasing these.
Lastly, look who commented on my blog post yesterday!
That’s right, Michael Kors! Who I wouldn’t have even known about without the help of Project Runway circa 2007. I have no idea if he is still a judge. Needless to say, he probably needs to brush up on his grammar, but still…
Have a fabulous weekend, folks!

Yay!!! Told you they are awesome that was so nice of your husband!!! And the comment about it being worth spending a little more to feel good about yourself and pretty especially while pregnant is 100% true.
You called it- I’m so glad you gave me that recommendation- I can’t believe how comfortable they are. I was joking with my husband that I will have to find a wear to wear these after I give birth, I love them so much!
Those jeans look great on you! I really like the Gap maternity line. I bought a few items on clearance with a gift card last Christmas. I did not get any pants fhere though. I will have to keep these in mind for next time as i an also tall. Your husband is so sweet to buy those for you!
Thank you so much! I was really surprised and I agree, he is sweet.
Also, I meant to mention that I went to Forever 21 online after your suggestion and after doing a little investigating when I couldn’t find maternity clothes, it appears that they are discontinuing their maternity line which is a real bummer. Who knows, maybe what I found wasn’t accurate but I figured I would mention it.
Just found your blog! I’m excited to read along as you prepare for baby #2 – my husband and I have a 17 month old and are talking about the next one. Isn’t it amazing what a great and comfortable pair of pants can do for one’s mood?!
Thanks for reading and commenting, Erika! How exciting to be thinking about baby 2 for you! And yes, I am almost frightened at how excited a new pair of pants made me!
I am bummed to hear they discontinued their maternity line! It was my go to place for maternity leggings and tanks!
I know- I was looking forward to checking out their cheapo prices!
With Alyssa I finally gave into maternity clothes around 34 weeks. it only took until like 26 with Cassidy. And then at that point i only had a month or two so i couldnt justify getting much. Next time around I am going to start early so I cna justify that I still have like 6 months left to get use out of them! They are super cute and how sweet of your husband. Its the little things…
34 weeks? Am I reading that right? Wow, that is amazing Lindsay! You are tiny, though. Good idea to start early…I am still considering doing some thrift shop scavenging to see if I can find anything cute for a super deal. And you are right, it is the little things!
YAY!!! So happy you got your jeans. I just bought a little six month outfit for a baby shower I’m attending and it has the cutest pair of jean leggings!!! I may have thought of you while buying it. Looking forward to following along with your pregnancy.
Ha! There isn’t much cuter than baby jeggings, in my opinion. I love it when Lula wears hers. Hope you guys had a great weekend!
Sorta a nice weekend. Had a great time at my niece’s birthday party Saturday but P woke up with a cold Sunday and I started with it on Monday. Dang library story time AGAIN! It’s going to be a low key inside day, especially since the high around here is 15 today. Brrrr.
Brrrr indeed! I hope you are able to find enough to keep P occupied today–so sorry to hear that he has a cold–that totally sucks!
