Hi, I’m Kelly and this is my baby Lula!Brittany over at A Healthy Slice Of Life is hosting something called Munchkin Meals. Basically, she came up with a great idea for mommas to share what they feed their little ones. I’m afraid my post won’t be too interesting or creative but I am looking forward to seeing what other mommas are doing!
Lula is almost nine months old and at this point, I am doing a nursing/baby led weaning/purees/every day is different/ kind of meal plan with her.
Here’s what yesterday looked like.
I nurse Lula several times a day- at 5:15 AM I nursed her, repeated at 7:15, 8:30, 11…you get the idea. Things become really exciting around lunch time when she is fed real food! She loves chewing on a Propel bottle while I get our lunch ready.
Tuesday I gave her some broccoli puree and, well…she was not a fan. I wasn’t incredibly smart about it as I gave her a little sweet potato puree first so on the heels of that deliciousness, who would want broccoli puree?
Wednesday, I think I won her over!
I had a few grapes I was eating so I picked apart some of the insides for her dessert- she loves fruit! The afternoon consisted of nursings roughly every two hours which last all of 5-10 minutes because she is so darn efficient!
I nurse her again at 6:45 for a pre-bedtime snack and at 9:30 I “dream feed” her before I go to bed.
I really enjoy introducing new foods to her but I am definitely taking my time with it- most of her nutrients still come from nursing.
Thanks for hosting this Brittany- I’m looking forward to seeing what other mommas are feeding their little ones!
