Weekend in Review: 5.12-5.13

Happy Mother’s Day once again!  I hope people celebrated with loved ones- I had a great day with my husband and Lula.

We didn’t do too much this weekend.  Beyond a 6 mile run yesterday, we ventured as far as our local grocery store and otherwise stayed at home.

We spent a lot of time in the yard. This is a place Lula never seems to get tired of exploring.  She sits on the grass and we chill nearby.  The weather has been so beautiful that the backyard is quite pleasant.

We went on a nice walk Saturday evening, mainly to get out of the house.  The sun peeked out from behind the clouds as we started out so that made it even better.  Pa took a bunch of pictures of me in sequence so excuse the doofus-like smile on my face.

And here’s another- I think he took about 10 but I figured 2 is about all anyone could stomach…I told you we spent a lot of time in the yard…As I said earlier, Mother’s Day started with a 6 mile run with the stroller.  It wasn’t the best run (Lula’s transitioning bedtime routine has not been going so well as of late, more on that later) and the day started off kind of blah but it got really good in a hurry and we cherished the time together.

Lula discovered the deliciousness that is…wrapping paper?  And apparently I wanted to bite into it as well?

Pa surprised me with a Kindle Fire for Mother’s Day!  It’s refurbished, not that I would ever be able to tell, and I love it!  I am a reader so this is just the ticket for someone like me.  I tweeted that I finished The Hunger Games Sunday morning and Pa had put it on the Kindle for me so I could read it there, hoping I wouldn’t finish it so quickly- what a guy.  I guess I will have to read it again!

Have a wonderful week everybody!

    • I know- she loves tissue paper, straws, books, etc. I guess she likes to put everything she can in her mouth…we are getting better about distracting her to get the harmful items away from her quickly.
