The garden continues to grow- nothing to pick or pluck quite yet but it is still fun to see how it has changed in just a few short weeks.
Lula and I did a little weeding this week which included thinning the turnips
and squash.
I didn’t have the heart to pluck out too many plants so the garden will be a little overcrowded, which it is every year. If we had access to unlimited space, there is no way we would have squashed plants planted squash so close together. I think the instructions recommend that they are planted a few feet apart!
I am looking forward to a little more weeding this weekend, hopefully with my sidekick in tow!
We hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I hate weeding my garden! I tried using a hoe today for the first time to cut up the weeds but i didnt actually remove them from the garden. We dug up grass a couple years ago where my garden is now and the grass just wont stop growing back. we planted a lot from seed this year and not much is popping up yet unfortunately.
That is a bummer about your seeds- that is what we did too- hopefully you see some shoots soon. My husband just saw a rabbit under the fence eating my kale yesterday so leafy greens might be hard to come by this year…ugh.
